About Beacon Falls

A well known company during this time was the Beacon Falls Rubber Shoe Company. The rubber industry was booming in the Naugatuck valley during this time, after the rubber patent by Charles Goodyear from CT was invented. Other businesses that were successful in this area made shoes, buttons, powder flasks and whip sockets. As the industry was booming, population during 20th century had doubled. After the Great depression, may of these factory building were either used for storage or were destroyed. 

Today, there are many things to do in the town of Beacon Falls. There are many hotels and restaurants, making it an ideal location for families.
